Join us for the annual conference this summer in Taichung.  For many missionaries this is one of the highlights of the year!

The 2011 annual conference, to be held from June 28th to July 2nd, is approaching quickly. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. Early registration would also be very helpful to our administrative people, so please fill out the registration form and send it to our office in Taichung.

2011 TMF Conference July 4-8, 2011

Greetings!

It is time to write the TMF Family with an update on the planning progress for the 2011 TMF Conference.

Since the last update, Rev. Timothy Tu, pastor at Taichung Grace Church, has agreed to come and speak on Wednesday morning. Two short-term teams have agreed to come and lead the children and youth ministries. Jack Lin designed a conference logo. The cost for meals provided by Morrison has decreased compared to last year. And many other details coming together. Please join me in praising God for these answers to prayer.

In order to make the conference a success, we need you to come and attend. The Registration information and registration form are included with this letter.

Register early in order to receive the early registration discount!

Please continue to pray for the conference:

• For God’s blessing and guidance on Dr. Lon Allison and Rev. Timothy Tu as they prepare for speaking at the conference.

 

• For the short-term teams that are planning the children and youth programs.

 

• For a joyful time at the conference, one that refreshes, renews and re-energizes participants.

I have just returned to Taiwan from Canada and am meeting many of my friends. They all seem to have one thing in common - they are all very busy! And I am also aware that you, like other TMF members, are facing with a variety of competing time demands. In fact, if something is not written on the calendar, it probably won't happen. I would like to suggest something that I think you will want to include on your calendar for the new year.

The 2011 TMF Conference will happen July 4-8, 2011. Please take time now to write it on your calendar.

The 2011 TMF Conference speaker is Dr. Lon Allison. He is the Director of the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College and Associate Professor of Evangelism for the Wheaton College Graduate School. He is one of the most dynamic speakers I have ever heard.

The 2011 TMF Conference Theme is: "Restoring Joy and Running with Endurance"

We all need some encouragement from time to time. The hope each year is that the TMF Annual Conference will be used by God to refresh your soul and equip you for continued ministry. As this year's conference is being planned, my prayer is for Spirit-given joy to fill each one of our hearts, giving us strength to persevere in the midst of life and ministry demands. May God speak through the speaker and the other activities to facilitate the development of this kind of godliness in each of our lives.

The 2011 TMF Conference is the 60^th Annual TMF Conference
In addition to hearing Dr. Allison, there will be time set aside for celebrating. There will be workshops, times of praying, programs for youth and children, and a number of recreation options.

I also need help with the planning. If others help, the conference will be better. Check out the "Help Wanted" Section below to see if you or someone you know could help to make the 2011 conference a richer experience for everyone

Help Wanted!

1. Pray for the speakers, ministry teams, planning committee, participants.

2. Urgent Need: Suggest a church that may be able to sponsor a youth/children's ministry team.

3. Volunteer to be one of 4-5 planning committee members (With God's help we can accomplish everything in just 1-2 short meetings together).

4. Suggest a workshop topic or volunteer to help plan some of the celebrations.

5. Suggest a TMF member who may be willing to lead worship, lead a prayer group, usher, work on needed PowerPoint slides, take photos, care for the needs of the speaker or ministry teams, coordinate a recreational event, usher, etc.

I am looking forward to see how God prompts people to meet these needs. I am also looking forward to seeing you and your family at the 2011 TMF Conference.
