Information About Permanent Residence Status Application PDF ¦C¦L E-mail

Dear Members,

Perhaps you may have heard that Taiwan's government offers foreigners permanent residence status. How could you benefit from this policy? For those of you interested in permanent residency, the following website gives relevant information.

http://iff.immigration.gov.tw/enfront/life.php?tr_id=2&id=283

The basic condition for this status is time. You need to have lived in Taiwan for at least 7 years, and in each of those years your time inside the country must have exceeded 183 days. Among other things you need a health check, proof of income, and a verification of your criminal record (hopefully a lack of one!) from your home country. Also, if you are granted permanent residency, you need to continue to stay in Taiwan for over 183 days per year or risk losing your special status. This can be a good thing for those who play a long stay here. For greater detail, please read the website information or speak directly with relevant government officials. Hope this helps! In Jesus, Karl Schulz, Administrative Chairman

Oct. 13 TMF Meeting at Morisson Academy Taichung Campus PDF ¦C¦L E-mail

Sept. 13, 2006

Dear TMF members,

As a voting member of TMF, you and only you have the right to enact constitutional changes. As many of you know, at this year’s conference in Taichung we attempted to update our constitution to reflect present reality and future planning. Unfortunately we did not have enough voting members present to legally enact change. Government regulations state that the total number of votes cast must be a majority of the number of the total electorate. Regulations allow for up to one third of those present to act as proxies for other members. Thus a majority can more easily be achieved if enough people allow another member to vote on their behalf.

2006 August Newsletter PDF ¦C¦L E-mail

Dear TMF members,

Greetings in Jesus. Thanks to all of you who helped make this summer’s conference a success. Considering the fact that a high percentage of TMF members were overseas during conference time, we had a good turnout, and people were blessed and encouraged. Next year’s conference is already in the works, and the main speaker for 2008’s conference has already been selected.
